Crazy, Exciting Things...and more

The family just had the opportunity to spend 2 months in Europe! Thanks to my husband's jobs, and projects in The Netherlands and Germany (and a little Belgium thrown in for good measure), we all had quite the work vacation. Close friends followed along with my diligent pictures and journals (and if you'd like to know more, e-mail me). Plus, while we were gone, ParentsConnect from Nickelodeon published some of my parenting pieces here and here. Finally, the newspaper columns continue, and I've been updating the store with items about Europe.

Don't forget our homebrew blog. That one is the hubby's hobby and his blog baby. Enjoy!

What's up?

~July 6, 2007~

I am working on additional writing venues and I'll update as things progress. Thanks to those who keep in touch!

As always, things are going great, homeschooling is wonderful, and I have taken to adding more poetry, children's songwriting, board game development (with my kids), and photography to my freelance work. Sometimes we get politically active as a family--whether it is for promoting the health benefits of veganism, homeschooling rights, or trying to make changes with the government. As they say, "you have to stand for something or you'll fall for anything." Through it all, we always try to promote peace.

I really enjoy doing my design and photography items on our CafePress store.* It is a really fun thing to do, and my family inspires me to play with fun, new designs. We may be our own biggest customers. I still have the newspaper writing gig. I also had a piece published in the well-respected This I Believe!

* Our CafePress store has many items on homeschooling, veg*anism, liberal, SAHM/SAHD, current events, sci-fi/nerdy, and lots of custom design. Drop me a line (kbmailbox1-blog at yahoo.com) if you want to swap affiliate links. Our store ID is: compassionfam, and our logo button is on the sidebar.

I'm not really here :)

I'm not blogging anymore. This is a placeholder page for people for old friends and new readers who are looking to get in--or stay in--touch. I'll post some writing-related updates when I get the chance. Thanks for popping by :) We have a new homebrew blog, if you'd like to check it out!
